FenX GRID Screening – Match Results & Current Hits
Overview of Screening Process
FenX integrates with GRID for entity screening. When an entity is screened, it follows these steps:
Entity Submission: Entities are added to a screening task and grouped into a Batch ID.
GRID Processing: The batch is sent to GRID, which applies the screening logic based on predefined match criteria.
Result Retrieval: GRID returns a response containing screening results, which FenX displays without modification.
Match Logic & Result Display
GRID determines matches based on the following configured parameters:
First Name + Last Name
Country
Date of Birth (if applicable)
Example Test Cases & Findings done in Grid
Scenario | First Name | Last Name | Country | Date of Birth | Match Found? |
1 | Donald LEM | Trump LEM | Tunisia | 01/01/1992 | No |
2 | Donald | Trump LEM | Tunisia | 01/01/1943 | No |
3 | Donald | Trump | Tunisia | 01/01/1S943 | No |
4 | Donald | Trump | USA | 01/01/1992 | Yes |
5 | Donald | Trump | USA | 01/01/1943 | Yes |
Conclusion:
Matches appear when GRID identifies an entity based on the configured criteria.
If no match is found, GRID does not return a hit in Current Hits.
Understanding “Current Hits” vs. “History”
Current Hits
Displays fresh matches from the latest screening request.
A match appears in this tab only if GRID returns a hit during processing.
History
Stores previously screened results, including past matches and re-screened entities.
If an entity was screened before and had a hit, it may still appear here, even if the latest screening returns no match.
In some cases, if an entity was modified or re-screened but resulted in no new match, it might still appear in History due to the record of previous screenings.
Why Are Some Non-Matching Entities Appearing in History?
If an entity was screened previously and had a match, it remains in History for reference.
If GRID processes a batch but finds no match, FenX still logs the screening action for auditing purposes, which might cause it to show in History even if no match exists.
FenX does not modify GRID’s response; results are displayed exactly as received.
Current Hits only shows fresh matches, while History logs past screenings, even if there is no new match.
If an entity was matched before but is now unmatched, it remains in History for record-keeping.
